Trial Acceleration
Community Research Consortium
The DAVA Community Research Consortium, DCRC, is a site management organization consisting of high-caliber community based research sites. Our mission is to provide these sites and physicians with innovative anticancer agents and protocols as well as educational material regarding novel agents and pathways. We strive to open each site quickly for rapid accrual. DAVA will negotiate and control the budgets to ensure appropriate and quick payment for the work performed by our sites.
The DCRC goals include:
- Increasing the number of studies available for cancer patients by focused community sites with high volume practices and interest in research
- Providing a more efficient mechanism for trial design and completion using centralized processes
- Adding patients to cancer clinical trials by providing studies for patients with significant unmet needs
- Increasing accrual by community based practices
We also believe in simplifying the administration of clinical research for our sites. Therefore, we have dedicated regulatory specialists who complete the drug development process on schedule while conserving costs for each of our sites. We make this process more efficient by providing a centralized budget, assisting with the site initiation process, IRB submission, IRB management, and adverse event reporting.
DAVA’s medical oncologists also have a key role in the success of our research consortium. They provide medical support to all investigators, research nurses, and research staff at each site. They are available to help with accrual and help answer any medical issues that arise at the site.
There is no initiation fee or cost to participating physicians or treatment centers. However, membership requires a commitment to clinical research and patient accrual to clinical trials.
